In France Mainland, 235 people died on the roads in August 2020, 55 fewer than in August 2019. The estimated number of fatalities is lower than last year for motorists (108 fatalities or 36 fewer) and motorcyclists (43 fatalities or 24 fewer). While fatalities are falling everywhere, the number of accidents is rising in urban areas, where accidents are less serious.

Overseas

In French Overseas, 13 people died on roads in August 2020, +2 killed compared to August 2019.
