Financed by European Commission as part of Horizon 2020 program, SafetyCube's project brings together 17 research organizations and universities of 11 European country. The primary objectif is to develop a tool for decision makers : SafetyCube DSS (Decision support system)
SafetyCube DSS: a platform for access to road safety knowledge
This project is the development of a decision support system: the SafetyCube DSS (Decision support system).
It is a platform for identifying road safety priorities, evaluating the effectiveness of measures, improving knowledge of serious injuries and better estimating the human and material costs of road traffic accidents.
Online and interactive DSS brings together the state of knowledge in all areas of road safety. This project is part of a new approach combining the analysis of risk factors and the impact (costs and effects) of road safety measures. More than 1250 studies and 7 500 estimates constitute the technical content for the first European decision support tool in the field of road safety.
Why use the DSS Road Safety?
The SafetyCube DSS is an interactive, user-friendly and online tool. It helps support road safety policies to be implemented at local, regional, national and international levels. The DSS was developed for a very wide range of users and aimed to cover as many topics as possible. It helps to identify and implement the most effective road safety measures to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on the roads.
